À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Juggling a life with a toddler, a baby and a puppy!
ABOUT ME
Hubby and I are from France originally, but have been living in B.C. (all over) for the last while! We've started a cute little family, and are loving exploring Northern B.C. - we canoe, hike and cross-country ski. I love to paint watercolour, and we put on a mean raclette soiree!
PHILOSOPHY
We've both lived in a few different places in our lives, and we are keen to continuously meet new people. Couch surfing for us is a shared experience; we don't really have the time to host someone who just needs a place to crash, but rather we'd prefer to spend our time on people keen to learn more about this beautiful region!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In the past, I've relied on Couch surfing to travel as a single female throughout Europe - safely! I also used to host in my tiny studio apartment in France just for the pleasure of getting to know people.
Now, I have hosted and surfed about equally in past years - much less than before! I hope now that we have a nice sized basement suite, we can get back into it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A recent summer I did a decent amount of couch surfing, but mostly with friends of friends or distant family of friends and that sort of thing. I stayed with an amazing family of four who took me to see Windsor castle and to have fish and chips! In Ireland I stayed with a very very busy lawyer, but as soon as she had a free evening we had an amazing night on the town in Dublin... it was great to see her finally unwind ;) I've been all over France, and Spain and I can't wait to keep going. Hosting is amazing too! Once, I was even featured in someone's novel!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I love cheesy action flicks, old classic chick flicks (Audrey Hepburn),and most of all thinking-classics like Shawshank Redemption.
I have a pretty broad range of tastes in books. I studied literature so I can get into anything I think. I'm currently balancing three novels (yes, including the Hunger Games.. I have to know what my students keep raving about!).
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Hmmm one amazing thing I have done is take a road trip down to Mexico (Tijuana) from Vancouver to help a rebuild a community. It was definitely an incredible experience.
The most spontaneous thing I have done is book a one way flight to England after finishing my degree at university. I didn't have a plan, I traveled for months on my own and then finally ended up finding work in France for a year.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
Alright, so I can teach you to cook French or Italian food because that's what I grew up on! I speak both languages as well so I could help out with that too. I am an artist, so I can teach you to sketch, to paint watercolour, or to stare at art.
I'd love to learn to play the guitar, cook other specialties, and practice other languages and yoga! Mostly though, I can show you lovely places to go for nice long walks with beautiful scenery!
