About Me

Hi!
My name is Sverre (sorry about that Old Norwegian name - I'll buy you a beer/coffee if you're able to pronunciate it correctly first time around) and I'm an acting student traveling around the world to kill my restlessness, feed my intellect and to get inspired by people, cultures and whatever this short life's got to give.

I'm very outgoing and talkative - a people person - (Guess it's a bad idea joining CS if you're not) But I also appreciate my alone time; reading, listening to music or walking around in the streets. I'm big on walking. Whenever I'm in a new city I'd rather walk for hours than take the underground/metro - whats to see down there? Yeah, so I like keep myself active. I run, dance, swim, hike and go cross country skiing from my cabin up in the mountains (yeah, thats a big thing in Norway) Apparently I also like these "(....)"

Wanna go watch a movie, listen to some LP's, grab a beer, go dancing (!) or see an art exhibition or new play that's being put on? I'm usually down for stuff like that.

Where to begin - or end - It's hard to visualize I how come across thru this "about me"-thing..
At least, I like to think of myself as a fun, non-judging, relaxed guy, comfortable in my own skin and what is for sure - I'll be really thankful if you would like to host me in my time of need - and I'll gladly return the favour if you wanna come to Oslo/Bergen one day.

Keep reading if you wanna read my thoughts on me, me and me one rainy February night in Oslo. I don't know if it's insightful or embarrassing - It's something everyone should try to do from time to time though, typing down some core things in life (?)

Interests

I'm interrested in art, so theatre, dance, architecture, design, literature, photography- yeah, things that can stimulate my fantasy and inspire me in everyday life and in my work. So I'm always digging in the art scene in every city I visit.

ON THE OTHER HAND - what's really interesting, really, are people.
So even though I'm into aesthetics, art - whatever - I'm in my ace when i have a cup of coffee/a beer/a glass of red wine in my hand (hehe), having fruitful, funny, just really good conversations. I love to discuss, learn and interact with new people.
There isn't a single person I have met that hasn't given me a new thought, point of view or a new experience of my self, or just in general - that's what's so exciting with CS, you don't know what's coming - it could be really good, or less good - either way, it's better that being alone in a hotel room.

LIFE GOALS

Make a living being an actor - On my way! Finishing studies in may and going straight into a two year contract in one of Norway's oldest and biggest theatres.
Doing the musical Fiddler on the Roof next fall - then, who knows - It's a first (giant!) step

Making an album - I'm a singer and songwriter, doodling with my mac and programming for hours and hours. I never get tired of music and I've always got a new melody humming in my ear. I might show you some recordings if you ask kindly ;)

Writing a novel - I started out a year ago, but school eats what ever I've got of free time. Now i'm also more obsessed with small format, poetry and dramatic texts... One day though!

Travel the world - ....wanna help out?

Creating a home - This is like... far out there in the future, but then again, family is really important to me, wether it be my biological or my chosen family - and I'm really sensitive to my surroundings so I can't wait to furnish, paint and grow my plants in my own little den and garden. Yeah, this isn't CS material I know... anyway

Music, Movies, and Books

Music; John Grant - Hercules and the Love Affair - Patty Smith - Florence Welsh - Susanne Sundfør - Fleet Foxes - Tinariwen - Highasakite - James Blake - Grimes - Lord Huron - Jeff Buckley - Boney M - David Bowie - and hey, give me some Nina Simone or Solomon Burke and I can croon and listen forever - I'm a retro soul, and it shows in my clothing, furniture and fav. music. Spin some jazz.

Authors/Playwrights/Poets : Patty Smith, Sara Stridsberg, Gert Nygaardshaug, Shakespeare (just won't die), Norén, Camus, JK.Rowling (Never too old, right?) ... this is impossible...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to York, England, age 17 - Not impossible for anyone but a big transition for me. Boy did I grow that year!

Walked the great wall of China - not the touristy part where there's a McDonalds and shit - but the really steep, terrifying, you-have-to-sign-a-form-saying-you-can't-blame-the-guide-if-you-fall-down-and-die part of the wall.
I know that's not necessarily amazing, but I was food poisoned so I hadn't eaten for like 48 hours - and I was wearing a spiderman costume at some point - haha.
It makes for a good conversation topic, but at times it was really scary and hellishly cold!
But also majestic, epic and well worth everything and all the $
