About Me

Hey, Ciao, Howdy, don't be a stranger! We are earthlings, my home is your home. Let's share this common home of ours!

Some part of me likes that rugged, free, dynamic lifestyle. I heard that is what made Russia so big... but also the US. You know... people running away from rules? Yep. I don't like many rules, because they limit the way we think. Some are necessary, though.

I don't have a big head (not yet), I do have a big heart and I never give up on my good friends. In terms of physical size, I am rather average. And actually, I am rather calm, with occasional bursts of energy. That is, I come in short but sweet bursts! Like all good things in life, I don't last... but that doesn't mean that I don't persist ;)

People will ask me often 'what do you do?' Well what don't I do! I had 3 jobs before but now I'm a teacher/lecturer at the University. Yes, everyone has to be nice to me :D. I also had my own business, I also worked in an office, and I also 'walked' for living. You know... trying different things. Flying is next on my list, maybe.

My view on life is that it is an art! Don't conform to it, but rather, shape it! Do something new, different. Break the boundaries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting people who expand my knowledge and challenge me to think differently about life. I am an open book, and I love learning. I am very curious by nature. However, I especially appreciate kindness. I am well-educated, so I do love to discuss various topics. I also really enjoy nature, healthy (balanced) living, exploring, board games, good food.
I am a bit more on the introverted side, but I definitely enjoy being social, just not all the time.

Interests

Some interesting things about me:

- When I was a kid, I used to eat walls of buildings! No, no ketchup! And I don't look like a building. :D
- I learned how to swim in a river, I almost drowned in it as well.
- I am growing a tree at home, I call it "Chera" because it is a cherimoya tree! (Update: it died, RIP). Looking for a new tree :D
- I love Japanese food and teas. If we are what we eat, I assume one morning I will wake up and look Japanese! Have you seen that Korean movie about a guy who wakes up as a different person every day? Cool, eh?
- I played tennis for many years, but I still don't know full rules of tennis.
- I love to try new things, but not necessarily "new things". Comprehende? Like making a new recipe with "old" things.
- Being sarcastic is fun, as is being random, unusual. Thus, too sensitive people are usually not my type.
- I am an anarchist deep inside. I don't think there ought to be anyone "above" or "below" me, metaphorically! Although I do value people with free spirit higher than others. That's just a personal preference.
- I can cook some good stuff ;)
- Green tea latte is my #1 drink.
- I lived in 6 countries.
