ABOUT ME

Teaching and studying sociology (with a special focus on sociology of gender and sexuality). A definite extrovert. In my past, Erasmus exchange student in Copenhagen, Denmark. My favorite seasons are autumn and winter. My parents are Ukrainians (Luhansk region), but I was born and raised in Lithuania. A vegetarian with some very rare exceptions. I don't believe in God and religion, but I believe in the Law of Attraction - what goes around, comes around. Everyone to some extent is master of their own faith. Beer-in-a-bar rather than wine-in-a-restaurant type of person. My MBTI type is ENFJ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ENFJ). Queer as in "a person who feels somehow outside of the societal norms in regards to gender or sexuality". I can speak fluently (at least being able to keep up and understand daily conversations) five languages - Lithuanian, Russian, English, German and Polish.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am pretty new to all the couchsurfing thing. Never been neither as a host, nor as a couchsurfer. Basically only meeting up for a drink or a walk. Participated though in several local couchsurfing get-togethers in Vilnius.

Sociology, working out, meeting new people, reading self improvement literature (emotional intelligence, transurfing etc.), history of the mid and late XXth century...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: very different, basically everything except for metal and folk. Mostly pop, rock, dance/remixes, rap, grime, electronic. To name a few in no particular order: Adele, Childish Gambino, Moderat, Calvin Harris, Mew, Oxxxymiron, Muse, Foje, T.Love, Myslovitz, Ivan Dorn, Kendrick Lamar, Led Zeppelin, The Police, DDT, Okean Elzy, Sting, Stromae...

Movies: drama. I don't like comedies (except for Soviet ones), as most of them are not funny for me.
Some of my favorite movies are The English Patient, Schindler's List, Forrest Gump, A Clockwork Orange, Nymphomaniac, Brokeback Mountain, The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Matrix, American Beauty, The Machinist...

Books: basically only academic ones. I don't have time for fiction. Though if someone highly recommendeds smth I do try to read it (Viktor Pelevin among my favs).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hard to think of, but it is even harder to think of horrible things I've done/seen. So that's pretty much amazing in itself. :)
