My name is Steve and I am 31 years old.

For the time being I am traveling around Southeast Asia, on a shoestring, with no pre-booked flights or set return date home.

I am from the Lake District in the United Kingdom, which is a beautiful national park in Northwest England.... well worth a visit!

Prior to leaving the UK I was working in London as an electrical consultant engineer, in the building services industry.

I would describe myself as a friendly, easy going and respectful person, with a thirst for adventure... my main hobbies revolve around being outside in the great outdoors (one of the reasons I left London!).

Adventure for me also means exploring and getting lost in different cultures, in a spontaneous way, and that means meeting the local people!

I am a true believer that you get back from life what you put in, and some of my best travel experiences have come about from putting in the effort to learn and speak to locals in their language.

I prefer to hang out and get to know people in a quietish environment (maybe over a beer), as opposed to a big party, which is not my scene.
