About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To align my desires with my convictions.

ABOUT ME

I am an artist by trade and have been delicately adjusting to what function I serve in society and how I would like to survive within it's margins. I filter my judgments of nature and people through the cultural negotiation I experience in creating new traditions in my life as a Vietnamese American woman.

PHILOSOPHY

My life revolves around a cycle; trying something new, then learning something new, then creating goals with something new! then failing at something new, being humbled by something new, and then success with that new thing that is now old. ...:repeat!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Several years ago my sisters and I did a "couch surfing tour" when we first started our band, The Pretty Turtles. We visited some places between California and Colorado. It was a really great experience! I met wonderful people.
Currently would like to get more involved! I live in Houston right now and I feel like the world hasn't been properly introduced to the people of the 3rd coast, would love to host.

Interests

I love food and drinking and good people! I spend most of my time navigating through my three forms of artistic expression; painting, writing and playing music:).I am devoted to doing those three things continuously through my life. I worship stories and timeless ideas!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most powerful experiences of my life was to be able to take my Mother back to her home country of Vietnam after over 35 years of being gone. She had left in 1975 during the War and had not been able to visit until my family and I put together a collection of our artistic works and sold them to raise funds for her to revisit the country she had left behind. That was the most powerful experience in my life..

Teach, Learn, Share

radical sustainability, survivors, elvin warriors from the world of academia and or from some economic stratus with resources beyond my own. Including men and women who had the patience to read trash like rich dad poor dad, 7 habits of highly effective people.
