About Me
I come from India and currently living in Bangalore. I am working here with a music technology startup called MusicMuni Labs. I am new to Bangalore and would want to explore the city a bit with like minded people. I was living in Barcelona from 2014-2016. There I worked with a group called Music Technology Group. I play Indian classical music and always exploring new kinds of music. Host me if you want to tell me about yours!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am always curious about the people and their opinion about music in general. I have realized that you get new perspectives and some can be life changing. I don't want to loose that opportunity. Also, talking about the living conditions in different societies and their norms and habits have been a curiosity for me and my curiosity increased once I got a chance to live in Europe and started travelling a bit.
Interests
COOKING:
I have grown into a huge fan of ad-hoc cooking. I don't know to call it otherwise. Since, I try to avoid meat, I am always on the lookout for new kinds of vegetarian option out in the market. If I like something, I buy and try to cook something out of it. Believe me, it is fun!!
MUSIC:
I love folk music from different parts of the world. I find a kind of freshness in the folk music, the real emotions being reflected int he society and if they have lyrics, you should try to understand them even if you don't know the language. They mostly come across to be so innocent and yet powerful. I play 'tabla' which is classical percussion instrument from India and I try to practice 2-3 times a week.
I am currently working on a project which aims at developing technologies for music education. I love my work. It is what I always dreamt of doing.
TALKING ABOUT SOCIETY:
I am amazed about how the people from different parts of the world are brought up with different notions and how that affects their thinking, their health... everything!! I have realized the importance of that very late in my life but now I try to learn more about it. That is also one of the reasons that I have joined CS. It helps me to actually meet the locals and learn about the stuff that I want to know. I have mentioned the same thing in the above section.
Music, Movies, and Books

I am a huge of movies involving military and warfare. It gives me a kick. Other kind of movies that I like are the ones that talk about the problems in a society and how people have taken steps to counter them. So inspiring!!

MUSIC:
I would not say that I always prefer a kind of music. But I listen to a lot of folk music. I am a huge fan of Coke Studio from India and Pakistan. I am a big fan of A R Rahman. I would not say that he the best but some of his composition are absolutely magic. Some of my other favorite artists are Raghu Dixit Project, Shankar Tucker, Eddie Vedder, Coldplay (I love their lyrics), Amit Trivedi, The Corrs and many more....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Got lost in mid of a forest in India in the western ghats. To make things more exciting, it was raining by cats and dogs for an entire day (yes we went during the monsoon season). There were cobras in jungle. The truth.... I was very scared :)
