About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Suet: To try to survive winter with only a tshirt
ABOUT ME
We are a couple from Malaysia going to college in different states in the US.
Suet: I am currently studying at a women's college in MA. (yes it kinda sucks) I like to talk to strangers and kids but I think I scare them most of the time with my enthusiasm. I love to eat! I live to eat!
I can't stand cold weather and this is my first time outside my warm and humid country so my main mission for now is to survive my first winter. End of wonderful self description.
Barry: I go to an all-male school in Indiana (whoop-dee-doo), and this tiny town has got me itching bad. We both come from the city, so we'd like to visit some other big cities, not Crawfordsville IN with a population of 20000. I'm not as gregarious as my girlfriend, but if I click with you, you'll find me to be a pretty nice guy (I hope).
We both have experiences as exchange students living with foreign host families, and they were great, so we're pretty eager to try this couchsurfing thing out to meet new people and learn more about, for a start, cultures in other parts of the US. Once we earn/steal enough money, we might go to Europe.
PHILOSOPHY
Barry: Don't let anyone dictate how to live your life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Suet: Haruki Murakami period.
Bob Dylan, Five for Fighting, Regina Spektor
Barry: Pulp Fiction, the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello (I saw both perform at IU!!! Have you?)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Suet: I've seen 4 lions this <----> close to me. for real!
Barry: Thai kickboxing. And a 90 year old Japanese man animatedly telling me that he can still "get it up", due to a breakdown in communication.
Teach, Learn, Share
Barry: I like dispelling myths about Asia/Malaysia. It's pretty sad how some people could be so ignorant about the world outside and yet still refuse to learn. We do have TVs in Malaysia, and we do not travel by vines!
We both know plenty of languages too, if you're into multilinguals!
Countries I’ve Visited
China, Japan, South Africa
Countries I’ve Lived In
Malaysia, United States
