PHILOSOPHY

Creativity is salvation! Liberate your soul, free your mind Express your originality! Ain't nobody like YOU! We are unique creatures having a human experience. The time is Now! The world asks...."Show me what you got" Because we all have talents to give and share. That is the KEY, Sharing, giving, and playing nice with the rest of the kids on the play-ground-of-life. I like to play....with art, with instruments, with cameras, with video, with words, with anyone who has a genuine spirit, is on the path of discovery, and knows how to live fearlessly.
I am all about staying curious and allowing myself to transform, grow and evolve. I take time to be introspective and remember what it means to live "La-Vita-Loca" and "La-Dolce-Vita!!"
I see this world and Mother Nature as one big work of Art. I love to take photos, capturing some of its beauty as well as its ugliness. I am grateful for the light as well as the dark. I believe in balance, moderation, patience, integrity, compassion, and the power of thoughts and intention. Positive vibrations are not just for Rastas and Hippies! I am Thankful for being introduced to Couch Surfing and for the opportunity to be acquainted with so many beautiful humans and for all the amazing moments that have enhanced my life. I want to travel the world and be part of all the different cultures. I want to taste the foods, dance the dances, and see through different eyes in hope that I will absorb new perspectives and gain greater empathy. I have traveled to Europe, Mexico, Canada and all around the US so I still have so much more to see!! I don't believe in any kind of discrimination and I welcome friends from all walks of life. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It has been a few years since I have participated but Im BACK! Yay!

I have surfed, joined in local meet-ups, met surfers for dinner and conversation in other countries, been to a surfing event/gathering in Atlanta GA, that was really wonderful, and I hope to participate in many more to come.

I would like to host and be hosted as life permits.

Interests

Meeting others from different backgrounds and cultures and learning about them and their traditions and ways of life is a very favorite thing for me!
I am interested in all creative art forms and performances, and love to collaborate and create experiences with others.
Traveling and exploring is top on my list and taking the road less traveled, the mysterious, scenic route is the path I prefer.
On always open to discover and gain a new point of view!
I love to dance, play my drum in a drum circle, do improv, watch or participate in comedy, do yoga, take long walks or bike rides, speed down a lake on a boat or jet ski, entertain my family and friends, and when the moon if full, go outside, look up, give thanks and howl!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a big music lover and depending on my mood, I like any genre, all forms, old and new, everything from classical to hardcore punk or grungy dubstep.
As far as movies go, they have to be thought-provoking and keep me interested with a great plot, storyline, and well-written characters. There are several but one classic is the movie, Being There.
I enjoy interesting documentaries, and my hometown town Columbia Missouri is the home of the True/False documentary film festival which brings in filmmakers and directors from around the world!
I have made a few short ones as a hobby.
I love my bookcase and I do have favorites but these days I listen to spoken-word books while cleaning, driving, or walking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

climbed a very steep mountain off the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina.

My life revolves around learning and teaching, creating art and creating greater understanding.
Life is our school and we can all learn from one another!
I can teach you many things, what are you most interested in at this time? That is where we will start.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share an engaging conversation, plenty of travel stories, and recommendations for Culture, Art, Music, movies, documentaries, comedy, spiritual philosophy, photography, and how to create different forms of art. I would also be happy to cook, clean, and offer some monetary compensation for the use of a private room and bath.
