About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I live to learn, to love, to protect and enjoy nature, and to travel the world!

ABOUT ME

Hello there! My name is Rachel. I spend most of my free time being creative, studying science/wildlife, and traveling! I have recently relocated to Seattle, and I am excited to begin my career in this city.

I have had wonderful experiences working to protect our natural resources and I am excited to turn my passion into a career in environmental consulting. I love being in nature, camping, hiking, jogging, biking, photography and I'm an avid birder.

PHILOSOPHY

The purpose of life is to discover your gift. The meaning of life is giving your gift away.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I can't really host people because I don't own a couch at this time, but I'd love to down the line. I am excited to meet new people in the Seattle area!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first Couch surfing experience in Washington DC while I was attending the 2011 Powershift conference. I had an incredible time, met amazing people that I hope to run into again in the near future and protested non-violently against many environmental issues. The experience left me begging for more travel and couchsurfing opportunities! Since then I've lived in Las Vegas, Arcata and now Seattle. I've visited various places in between.
