ABOUT ME

A painter, writer, aspiring designer, I am now in architecture school, exploring low-energy materials such as mud and bamboo. How can we build with these materials?

I used to live 3 years in Asia, between Japan and Thailand--where I first learned about the joys of Couchsurfing. It's been a host of spontaneous comradeship, and quirky happenings!

Meet up with people when I travel to new cities, or host them when I'm in one place for long enough.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

JOY! CS buzz, warmth, glow in meeting a new person, a feeling of endless opportunity.

I used to look and wonder about people passing by. What are their lives like, what are their aspirations? These people I don't know are not 'strangers'. Couchsurfing introduces you to people you'd probably never have the opportunity to meet.

Interests

Architecture and design: Creative solutions for our limited and increasingly scarce resources.

Art--the vessel for the invisible: Painting, batik, woodworking, weaving, music, performance.

Yoga, dance, biking, acting, butoh dance, contemporary dance and performance
