CURRENT MISSION
Creating art from the ephemeral
ABOUT ME
My fiancé Julien and I are traveling on foot all the way from France to China ! We are on the road since July 2011, and crossed all Europe and a huge part of Turkey during those last 3 years
This experience to live our life in the most ancestral way : walking from villages to cities, experiencing what we have learnt in books, understanding the world we are living in, listening so many different stories !
Maybe you will tell us yours ?
PHILOSOPHY
"Keep walking but don't forget to enjoy the process"
I always see the bright side of the life, enjoy all the moments, use the bad ones to make a contrast so the good ones are more vivid.
Every minute doesn't "have to be" an extraordinary experience. It is already : I am breathing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used to host when I was in Paris. I organized an Angel/Devil party specifically for my Australian guest on the Quai de Seine which was memorable !
Now that we are traveling on foot with Julien, we don't use Couchsurfing that much as we meet a lot of people on the road : "Hey, what are you doing here, it is a small village of 200 people here ? What ? You are walking ? From France ? To China ? Wow, ok, come to my house tonight, you will be our guests !"
Learning the langage of the countries we walk in is really important for us to communicate with other human beings. But sometimes, especially in large cities, we like to meet some English-speaking people to relax a bit !
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Few years ago, a collegue of mine invited me to a party at his place where I met this Australian girl, Catherine, we laughed a lot, and decided to go to Barcelona the day after ! She convinced me to subscribe to Couchsurfing.
One minute can change your life
One person can open your eyes
Latest experience :
Konya, the latest big city we were in was the opportunity to meet two incredible couples from CS:
- Fatma and Saeed, a wonderful iranian couple with a 2 year-old boy we adore ! All our conversations about the differences between Western Europe and Iran made us really curious about this country (especially about the Persian Poets, Hafiz and Khayyam).
- Lili and Wesley, French-English couple, who are long-life nomads like us and with who we had a lot to share about traveling experiences and projects for the future.
Interests
My slow travel on foot gives me also the opportunity to developp skills I didn't know before like creating didgeridoo with plastic tubes or drawing portraits of people hosting us in villages and cities.
Of course, I also write a lot about our journey as it is one of those unusual lifetime projects. I am pretty sure that one day, I will be really happy to read those pages and feel my emotions again :)
Further than this, I would like to get deeper in some art concepts, so every kind of creative person will catch my attention !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ok, this section is stupid because we are not competing to know what is the most this or the best that.
Of course, I love sky-diving, I enjoyed a flight all around the volcano Le Piton de la Fournaise, and saw the David of MichelAngelo in Florence and so what ?
I also learnt the circular-breathing in 20 min in Cairns to play didgeridoo, I made my own didgeridoo with plastic tubes and played in the street (here is my article about it if you are curious http://www.nomadic-logic.com/blog/2013/profession-street-artist)
You know, I'm traveling all around the world on foot ... So this is probably the most amazing opportunity to see and do things I've never seen or done !
Teach, Learn, Share
Portrait drawing : maybe I can make you one to thank you for hosting us :)
I can teach some culinar things (I'm a pretty good cooker!) and share a lot of recipes :)
I will be glad to learn and teach any kind of experience that can lead us to a sort of happy wisdom, especially creative ones.
