About Me
Hey! I'm currently on a mission to explore as much of the UK as I can and I'm headed to Scotland for 3 weeks in September.
I work as a mental health nurse and generally work for a few weeks then go and explore somewhere new for a week. Recently I've been to Snowdonia which was stunning.
I reject the work until you die mentality and I'm determined to only work as much as I need to live then explore the rest of the time!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING:
I have a house in Huddersfield in the north of the UK where I live. I have room for 2 people to share a sofa bed in the living room and one more in the study. Happy to show people around if I'm not working. Very accessible by public transport, (approx 4km from Huddersfield University. 10 minutes on the bus or 45 mins to an hour walking. If I'm around I can come collect you from the bus or train).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
About to begin my adventure.
Interests
I love; swimming outdoors, exploring new places, cooking for people, reading in the sunshine, standing on top of mountains and live music gigs.
- festivals
- beer
- traveling
- music
- live music
- wild swimming
Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen to Folk, indie and world music. I love gigs but will mostly have music playing at home too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The sun setting from the top of a hill in Gran Canaria. Coming from so much further north I was astounded at how quickly it set.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Although I'm not fluent any more I speak reasonable German. I'm happy to provide cooking facilities or get involved in cooking if I'm at home.
I can offer a shower or bath and washing machine. If I can I'll gladly meeting pick you up from the train station and if you fancy it I can show you the local pubs and the best walks and swimming spots.
