Overview
About Me
I'm an engineer living in Calgary, Canada for the moment but missing Europe and living there like crazy! I grew up in Asia and moved back to Canada from Switzerland for the second time about two years ago now, so I've had the opportunity to see many beautiful parts of the world. I was bitten by travel bug at a young age - I love to travel and do so as often as I can :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hosted a couple of people with my room mates while living in Switzerland the first time and look forward to being able to travel elsewhere in the world and meet new people.
Interests
I love to travel and meet new people and experience new cultures - especially food and markets. I think you can learn a lot about a place by their food and markets, plus both of those are fun to explore!
I spend as much time as I can out in the mountains - I find nature to be the place where I am most refreshed. Having seen many mountain ranges and landscapes around the world, I still think the Rockies are one of the most spectacular sights, but the Alps will do in a pinch (As a Canadian, I'm probably just a bit biased :) )

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all music - everything from classical violin to rock - and my tastes tend to morph over time. What can I say, there was a day when I would have said I hated country music but it's now one of the presets among my radio stations :)
I've never been a big movie buff but books I can do! There is a reason the classics are the classics and I've read Lord of the Rings more than a few times.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard to choose just one - scuba diving the Red Sea and lava caves in Santorini, hiking the cliffs around Petra, standing at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, riding elephants through the jungle in Thailand - I've been very blessed to do a lot of amazing things.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love experiencing a new place - the food, the architecture, the traditions and culture - and hearing about other people's adventures. It's always a blast to meet other people who have travelled and hear their impressions of where they've been and where we've both been!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm always happy to swap travel stories over a glass of wine ;)
