My next big journey leads me to south america. My first time to visit this mythical and wide diversed continent. I am looking forward to discover the old onca trail from quito to lima!

ABOUT ME

It's not only a hobby or fun to go away and get in touch with other cultures it a mission for me. I love traveling at all and I know this experience are unpayable and I will never forget them my whole live.

But further balancing to my occupation I often spent time in sports. I love playing Tennis, Squash, skiing, walking, hiking, Ice hockey or other things.

I would describe me as a communicative and open-minded guy and I always like to know new cultures and countries!

Especially on weekend cooking is my favorite hobby. I asserted that I have got quite talent and most of my food is delicious ;-)

Another important task in my life is social work. I worked for 6 weeks in an NGO with Kids in Cambodia and I want to do it again for longer. In my mind is next year but i need to save a lot of money. My deepest ambition, i want to give something back and do good things for kids who were not that lucky and were born in a poor country. Scott Neeson is for me more than a excellent example, he is like a hero for me. Please visit Cambodian Children Funds and the story of a Hollywood Regisseur who changes his lifestyle completely and built an NGO where kids are returing from the slums and dumps....impressive....

PHILOSOPHY

Why are we looking every day for success? Is there somebody in your life smiling all the time? Do you also think about these people in the world whose challenge is to survive everyday and do not have enough to eat? Often I ask myself what give me the spirit to make me happy. And I guess it isn’t money or an expensive car. It is only happiness, ”true” love, peace and respectfulness but I fear this characteristics we lost in our society. Hoping I find an answer to my questions when traveling around the world.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Amazing things I have done:

Vancouver: Currently we decided to travell by water boat accross Vancouver city. It was very exciting!

Swiss Mountains: Last Summer I climbed up to a few 3000meter high summits. At the end the view on the top was absolutely brilliant!

Cambodia: Maybe one of my best decision I have taken in my life: Travelled 2008 through Cambodia and Vietnam the last weeke we booked in Koh Samui. But as we arrived there we were suffer into depression. There were so many tourists and they were unfriendly. If I saw their faces they don't smile but they consume (eat and drink) and they did not accepct & respect the locals. I was shoked because before that moment we met many poor but shunshiny people but they give us a smile! Obviously I was tourist I though that's my home. And as we visited the killing field in this country I was so sad about their history but it gave me a new philosophy and life style! Be respectful! But however book a flight back to Cambodia and leave Koh Samui as fast as possible. We come back to Phnom Penh and joined the last days in Cambodia's Capital!

Canadian Rockies: Once I climb allone to one of the highest summits region (over 2700m) without any navigation, gear, guide or cart. But awarded by a unforgettable view!

Sports: I've done my first marathon ;-)

Myanmar (former Burma): Ballon ride in the morning (sunrise) over BAGAN! The best you can do on a trip whilst visiting Myanmar. Its more then only touching your heart believe me!

Amazing things I want to do this year:

Walking: I would like to walk to my office (approx. 25 kilometes)

Travelling: Booked trip to Laos/Vietnam

Social: After terminating my study I would like to work for 6 months or one year to a poor asian country as vollunteer. -> Latest activities: I definately go to Kampuchea in December till begin of March for 10 weeks and work in a volunteer programm in Sihanoukville. I really look foward to get experience. For me it's like a task I have to do in my live and I am ready to start! If I could I would do tomorrow. But however after my study in two years I want to live in this country and give up my life in Switzerland ;-) I have nothing I will miss here and be so happy when I can stay in this beautiful country. I also started to learn pee-a-sa kmai (Cambodian language);-) it's funny and I hope I can use it there successfully!
