ABOUT ME

I'm an idealist. I like designing things. I like to make a difference in the world. I believe that if you have nothing, but you have love, you have everything. Insert more cheesy, but true, cliche lines here.

I'm currently a graphic designer at Invisible Children, the makers of the Kony 2012 film that went viral this year. You can see my contributions to that campaign here: http://www.switmer.com/KONY-2012-Bipartisanship-for-Peace.

I'd love to have an in-depth conversation about kony2012 if anyones interested and has questions about it.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live my life so that when I look back 30 years from now, I can say: I didn't choose "success" over truly living; I learned how to really love people and in the process, learn to love myself. I hope to say that I was bold. That I learned to get over my insecurities and internal doubts. That I learned how to share my personal faith and my love for my creator.

I'm just getting started...and as of right now, I'm about to head out to Europe for 3 months where I hope to take advantage of surfing some amazing peoples couches.

I enjoy: graphic design, rock climbing, exploring National Parks, reading john steinbeck, sipping whiskey on the rocks, singing, learning guitar, doodling, potlucking w/ friends, backyard football, the list goes on.

Travelling to Zambia several times to work with a community there, and realizing how much more I was learning about life from them then I could ever hope to impart to them.

Also, doing graphic design work for the Invisible Children campaign Kony2012 was certainly a notable experience.

I'm a graphic designer, so if you've found yourself with photoshop or illustrator installed on your computer and no idea what buttons to press, I'd be glad to run through some basics with you.
