About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To give.

After so much research on politics and economics and religion and how destructive they can be, I've deduced the biggest problem is money, so I design a neutral currency model that values status parameters of quality, empowerment, and sustainability. You can see my work on this here: https://www.facebook.com/buxxb/

The lightside is I fly drones. You can see my work here:

I do my best to avoid exchange with money as much as I can, so while I have no choice to use it at present, I look for any exchange where I can offer something. As an example, I got my drone licence to offer film work to changemakers who can't afford it for free. I don't do commercial work. I'm also a drone pilot for the lifesavers and connecting with Department of Industries to assist with environmental work. One cent forget the firefighters and what they do and have done.

ABOUT ME

Studied architecture.
Travelled for 10 years and seen 39 countries.
Was a radio host for about 8 years discussing sustainability and wellbeing. And playing ambient music. :)

Eternal traveller at heart but didn't know how to make it into a profession.

Adore coffee (my contemporary peace pipe).
I love Addy! :)

And I adore silence. The greatest wealth is being able to live silently. I stayed in an anechoic chamber for 6 hours once. I'd love to do 24 hours. ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a small home but never here as it's too dark and surrounded by noise, so I am an eternal wanderer.

Always up to a conversation on empowerment, wellbeing, and what human nature really is. ;) CS is a perfect example of that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted by some awesome people. Anyone that opens their home to you deserves gratitude. It's a wonderful experience when this happens. I stayed a month in Paris with the guy who created the printed book version of CS in the 80s. You'd write letters to potential hosts and wait for a reply. Such was the timing of overseas communication at the time. CS now makes this a moment. What an incredible idea.

I've hosted some people and most are truly amazing. I broke my leg on the bike once and a CS contact helped me for the first month to be sure I was ok. I really needed that.

Interests

I've got a camping kit ready to go at a moment's notice to put on my back and escape on the bike. I've got a modified 2007 BMW F800S which is wonderfully awesome. ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed across the Atlantic twice.

Worked as an extra on 'Random Hearts' (1999) in Miami and almost met Sean Connery (Just a piece of glass got in the way). I also got a part in Peter Rabbit 2. Honestly, it is more amusing to do this than for any real career move. Scintistd are far more worth acknowledging.

Hitch-hiked through Europe for 3 months without money. A bit of a challenge.

10 years travelling. 39 countries. Learned a lot about myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach
Never to compromise who you are a,d you own everything you do.
Where to get coffee at midnight and listen to the quiet at the beach.

Learn:
How to not react to loud noises. I've got phonophobia, hyperscusis, and tinnitus.
How to read currents in the water.

Share
Tips on riding bikes. One can never know enough.
Any drone filming you might need (waiting for a drone to arrive from the US, at the moment).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great stories
Happy to lend an ear
Always eager to learn more
