PHILOSOPHY

I believe in love (did you just grin in surprise?).

I think life ought to be adventurous, motivated by ideas and virtuous.

I know 99% will misunderstand the meaning of "virtue" (avid readers of Aristotle might be an exception).

I also believe that we live to die experienced.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted and been hosted plenty of times in the past. There were (mostly) good visitors/hosts, and there were a few bad ones.

Interests

Singing in a metal band, training, writing, studying philosophy, living up to ideals, all kinds of activities in nature (mountain trekking being the classic), reading books, making soap, brewing beer and mead, going out to have fun, and several other occasional things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Normally I'm a metalhead, but I do enjoy any kind of music, if there is quality.

Movies: Peaceful Warrior, V for Vendetta, Gattaca, Braveheart, Dead Poets Society, The Red Violin, K-Pax, Dune (1984 version - the latest one was rubbish), Matrix, Patch Adams, The Saint, Apocalypse, Crusaders, The Butterfly Effect, Merlin, The Name of The Rose, 12 Monkeys, Danny Deckchair, Wuthering Heights, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Mad Max and Captain Hook are some that just came to my mind.

Books: All my books are my favourites, so you'll have to check them out for yourself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I always welcome a real discussion. I care more about people than about things. If I have time, I can teach you to make soap or to sing correctly. Or to effectively defend yourself in the street. Or about the meaning of life. Under normal circumstances (limited time/24 hours only, daily), you can purchase one of the above.
