I am sya mendo and I am Kurdish Belgian. currently I am a Japanologystudent from KU Leuven university in Belgium. I will go to Japan with my cousin (Aland Kalaf) from Germany for about 3 weeks. Our first destination will be Tokyo, osaka, kyoto and okinawa. Wich is why I am looking for hosts in Japan. I am a very social person who really likes to meet up people from a different culture and have fun with them. There is nothing better then learning about each other.And I am very open minded.

As a student I'm not particularly wealthy but I'm not here to just find free hosting, instead I'd rather find some good company and a good time.

My hobbies are basketball, breakdancing, gymnastics , photography,traveling and I also really like partying and sightseeing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have never couchsurfed before but when my cousin told me about his experience during his journeys in Sweden,Argentinia,Austria etc I was really convinced to have this wonderful experiance too. I usually meet a lot of exchange students from every part of the world and having fun with them by traveling around europe,tasting their wonderful cookingskills,partying and excercising togetherand ofcourse sharing great stories and friendship together . I really love to meet new people across the world and learn more about their culture and other languages .
This is why I have been on couchsurfing. Hopefully we'll meet soon and experience great moments together.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I actually don't consider myself as a hero but through my experience that I made alot of people smile and let them feel reliefed i guess those are amazing things that I have done.
some quick examples:

- I volunteered as a play buddy in a Japanese privateschool and have never seen kids so happy before.

- I motivated people alot for no mather what case.

- I volunteered in brussels by giving away free food to refugees.

- I contributed money by joining the basketballgame in antwerp during the earthquake in haiti. the reason why I picked up this experience is because we have won the whole game in antwerp and I must have been motivating alot of spectators during my basketballperformance. The cheering in the background meant alot for me and that I really did something great out there.

there are too much amazing things that I have done but those where great moments that I love to share.
