ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small coastal village which only becomes crowdy during summertime. While living there I got used to spend my time in nature - hiking, cycling, swimming and so on.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Whenever I rent a room or a flat, I propose hosting, and whenever I am traveling I try to contact people on CS, as I see it as one of the best ways to travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Always just positive. Of course there are different levels of "positiveness"

Traveling , reading, cycling, skiing, hiking, listening to music, photography, wandering in the narrow streets of distant cities.

Also red wine and almost all kinds of cheese.

Movies: The Wall, Lisbon Story, Amelie from Montmartre, Angela's Ashes, Coffee and Cigarettes, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Lives Of Others, Baraka, Frida.
Music. Genres I prefer are blues, rock (70s, 80s), jazz.
Bands I like most are Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, The Doors, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Kontrabanda. Musicians: Erick Clapton, George Winston, Enya, Ray Charles, Vangelis, Andrius Kaniava.
Books. My favourite writer was (and maybe "is") Erich Maria Remarque. The recent books that I read and liked were: On the Road (Jack Kerouac), Breakfast of Champions (Kurt Vonnegut), End of the Road (John Smith Barth), Nutikimai (Daniil Charms), The Dice Man (Luke Rhinehart).

Hitch-hiked from Lithuania to Croatia (around 2000km) in a bit less than three days.

Got to the one of the mountain ridges in the Alps, watched the sunset and shooting stars later the whole night.
