About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To discover, share, learn and grow

ABOUT ME

My family is from Switzerland. I was born in Hong Kong, we moved to New Zealand 28 years ago… Been all over the place really but I like to think I'm a Kiwi. I have recently graduated with a counselling degree. Its my mission to spend the year travelling!

I enjoy:
* being creative
*meeting new people
*animals are a great love of mine
* I am slightly obsessed with amazing food! Support local produce and organic when I can.

PHILOSOPHY

To stop and smell the roses. Take one day at a time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For me Couchsurfing is an exchange of company and a sharing of experiences and cultures. Im not just wanting a free place to crash but my reason for joining Couchsurfing is simply to meet people. A bonus would be to discover the local hangouts such as: markets, restaurants, bars, parks, awesome food, places to swim etc that only locals would know about! Showing gratitude can be accepted in different forms, if it's appropriate I'd be happy cook a meal, or shout the host a beer, or simply a conversation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ive slept on a few couch's in my time! Officially as a Couchsurfer I had my first stay in Chicago, ended up staying on two occasions, we had a great time!

Interests

A real arty farty person, painting, revamping my clothes, creative cooking, jewellery making etc.

I have finished a counselling degree- I am fascinated by people's uniqueness and their lived stories and experiences. My world is rich because of the interactions I have with people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is very difficult to answer! Every day there is something amazing, maybe as simple as discovering a great restaurant or smiling to a stranger walking by, or because the sun is out!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am open to hearing peoples views on life . I enjoy giving and receiving, teaching something or learning something myself. P.S I've got a pretty mean crepe recipe :) and of course happy to make some!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Smiles, Im pretty good at making yummy food, interesting conversations or boring ones (haha), stories from my travels, I'm also a pretty good listener.
