I am traveling with my good friend Claudia. I’ve just graduated from University of California Santa Cruz with a double major in Politics and Community Studies.

I’ve worked in the coffee industry for two years, most recently as a Barista at the speciality cafe Verve Coffee Roasters in Santa Cruz, California. I also have held a position as Regional Organizer at the largest student-led labor organizing group in the U.S., having a deep passion for strengthening worker’s rights and labor justice.

My good friend Claudia and I met as Baristas in California and are traveling from Barcelona to Rome together via inter-rail train pass and look forward to meeting all kinds of people. I’ve had great experiences Couchsurfing over the years and hope to share those with my friend. Claudia is from Cádiz, Spain and I’m from California, USA.

I’ve lived in multiple small coastal cities throughout California and I want to visit places beyond where I grew up. As a college graduate who studied an emphasis in US Politics, I seek to see the world in a comparative lens to broaden my knowledge of politics on the global level and understand it’s effects on people across the world.

I enjoy hosting an alternative music radio show at my college station, creating and listening to music, taking photos with my 35mm camera, bouldering, and spontaneous travels.

Claudia loves (and is amazing at) making visual art, brewing great coffee, and loves animals. She is also an adventurous traveler and loves meeting new people.

I travelled across Europe at age 15 for a month with one backpack. I visited Sweden, The Netherlands, Italy, and France. Experiencing these countries at such a young age opened my mind to so many things, and I am excited to explore these countries and many more as an adult.

I've been playing guitar since I was 9 years old and over the years have picked up the bass, drums, harmonica and the banjo. I’m always down to jam with other musicians.
