About Me

After working as a gardener in Australia for a year, it's time for a big bicycle trip!! I've cycled through Vietnam, China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia... Next stop: through Indonesia.

To be honest I really just spent my teens and early 20s as a bit of a 'bum', partying too hard and not doing much else... but now I've finally found the thrill of life! From the interesting shape of a blade to grass, to the World's Highest Post office, there's something amazing in everything (mostly).

It turns out learning is actually great as well. So I like to do that now. When this trip is over, I believe I will begin studies in Horticulture!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it's everything right about travelling/life! When you're on the road you get to meet lovely people in a more personal environment than a hostel for example THEN getting to be able to return the favour and host people further down the line is really the best thing.

Music, Movies, and Books

The music that gets my hips wiggling the most has to be Reggae/Dub, Drum and Bass, Hip Hop (I know some UK hiphop artists that could rival any American artist... A big statement I know!) - but I love anything and everything of course.
I've just recently got in to Highlife music... I would love to get more recommendations of more West African genres and artists!

Dune books blew my mind.

This is England is a film I think anyone who wants to learn about english subcultures should watch! It's as uplifting as it is tragic...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hope to experience amazing things for myself, not to shout about them with no context for a profile😂

Teach, Learn, Share

Obviously riding bikes has to be number 1! However I'm more into cruising around to nice viewpoints with a bag of sandwiches, or riding downhill, than wearing tight fitting clothes and taking it seriously.

I went through a little phase of making bread, so I'd love to develop more baking related skills!

It feels stupid saying music is a passion without being able to play an instrument 😂 I'm always wanting to discover new sounds - it would be awesome to chill and share the speaker with someone for the evening!

I'm also always ready for a game of chess.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A loaf of bread, a happy/jolly approach to life, a good chat about anything under (and beyond) the sun!
