ABOUT ME

I grew up in Alaska where I learned to love adventure. I love to snowboard, hike, camp, hunt, fish, anything outside really. I am a photographer, videographer, and a teacher. I am the oldest of 11 children.
I was a full time volunteer missionary at the University of the Nations in Kona, Hawaii. I worked in a studio on the campus in pre production, production, and post production of various media pieces.
I worked along side a program called Voice for the Voiceless. Where we trained young missionaries in photography and video. We worked a lot with human traffic victims, prostitutes, orphans, child soldiers, and displaced people, raising awareness, gathering help and support, and changing laws.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a full time Christian missionary. Although I am far from perfect I am striving to live a life that is bigger than just me. A life that is full of God. I love what my little 6 year old brother tells people when they ask what I am doing. He replies "My Sissy travels all over the world to make friends she hasn't met yet, and give them their ticket to come to Heaven with us." I just want to see people set free from the bondage in this world today. To walk in their identity and authority given to them by God.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a few people come stay with me. However, now im kind of homeless in my own town haha. Ive been couch hopping between several of my friends' houses lately.

Interests

People, I love to hear stories and talk about their culture and beliefs. I love art, mostly painting and digital painting. Photography and Videography. Media advocacy, which is a movement to bring justice to those who live in slavery or oppression through media. I love snow and snow sports. I love being in the forest, and in the mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have seen A LOT of movies. Mostly childrens/family movies. I love animation. I watch a lot of crime, supernatural, and fantasy movies.
I love music, everything from Dubstep to Classical.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Togo, West Africa for 3 months. It was an AMAZING experience. I highly encourage people to go to other countries and gather their own information and opinions on people, and places. Do not take the media's word for it! There is a whole world of adventure out there!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach about cultures around the world. I teach photography and video, editing in Adobe Premier, audio recording and editing. I am a certified wilderness EMT and love to teach people how to be safe when they are going on their various adventures. I know how to do a lot of random things, mushing/ dog sled training, how to care for bear cubs, how to take care of children (sometimes similar to bear cubs...), how to snowboard, how to write and design comic books, lots of other random stuff.
