About Me

I just returned from my first solo international trip where I spent four months in SE Asia and had a life changing fantastic time! I have heard about CS here and there for years, but only recently found out it is a bonafide, well organized and secure place to meet, stay with, and host others. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of it when overseas, but now I am hoping to get into the CS community. I hope to become a host as soon as I resettle in Denver, CO in September 2016.

I grew up in rural Wisconsin in a large family but have called Denver home the last few years. I am grateful for parents and friends who have passed on to me the importance of travel and hope to see and experience many places and cultures. I Studied Spanish and communications in University and have been very interested in intercultural communication, interpreting, and the recent immigration and refugee resettlement conversation.

I wish I could speak so many languages, play so many instruments, and remember details about every person I've ever met. Instead I speak 2 languages, play 3-4 instruments, and try to at least remember everyone's name. I enjoy just about any food and just almost any Recreational activity, but I Love guacamole and curry and enjoy playing tennis and biking.
