Overview
About Me
A bit of a nerd, slightly introverted, day-dreamer, constant giggler, generally an open-minded free spirit :) I have not traveled much, but have been living in different countries since I7, mostly for "school" and research...
The first time I left home was for a year-long exchange student program in the US and I stayed for another 2 years for college(Georgia) before transferring to New Zealand(Dunedin). Later I lived in China(Suzhou) and Northern Thailand(Chingrai) briefly for work and a research project. Somehow I ended up in a master's program on the east side of Finland and now living in northern Germany :)
Living with people of cultural and social-economical backgrounds in various household settings has been fun :D
I like to blend with local people, live the place and culture whenever I get the chance to travel. Tourist destinations are usually not on the agenda. I like to be in other people's shoes in general. Experiencing life from the perspectives of others has taught me a lot, and there are still long ways to go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new people for hearing interesting stories, learning something random, or experiencing cozy local lives. It is also an excellent platform to find local/travalling buddies for day trips :)
I especially love to stay with families, and sometimes hanging out with the kids makes the funniest way to experience a different culture
Interests
Appreciate lives and nature, arts and cultures, all the minuscules, the joy of living in cosmic randomness, little ferns that grow through cracks of walls, stuffed animals that travel, fungi of all sorts, woods and shinny beetles, robots and magic. The list goes on... other than drinking games, I'm up for almost anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Organized cultural festivals on the campus of a cozy community college that bonded the international students and local community. Kayaked among alligators during their aggressive mating season in the Okefenokee Swarm. Camped on Mahia Beach and swam with the wild friendly dolphin Moko the next morning. Ate an apple on a stone where St. Joseph glacier mountain turns into icy river.. Sunbathed with my family and a wild seal on a beach right after the final exams of the last semester....
