Should I begin to present myself as a PhD student in fundamental mathematics in Paris, as a musical reviewer for classical music concerts, as a musician ? I don't know, and the best might be to present myself as someone interested by imagination, creativity, and esthetic, which can explain my passions and interests.

As a PhD student, after having studied in Ecole Normale Supérieure, I am beginning a PhD in Paris on a very abstract and beautiful problem of Algebraic Geometry which is : "Anabelian Geometry in Berkovich's spaces" :) I would like to work as a researcher in mathematics.

As a musician, I began to play classical piano at the age of seven, and since this time I have never stopped, be it in solo piano or with other musicians. A big part of my life is dedicated to music.
I am also reviewer for Bachtrack : I write articles about classical music concerts I see in Paris, and this another to share my passion for both music and writing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am always interesting in discovering new things : people, places, cultures, habits, food. Travelling and meeting local people is such a good way to satisfy this thirst of discovery, and in that respect Couchsurfing is a fantastic tool !

-music, especially russian music (Scriabin, Prokofiev, Rachmaninov...), french music (Ravel, Debussy, Poulenc, Chausson...), and lots of other composers like Bach, Brahms, Chopin, Janacek, Dvorak...
-literature (Dostoïevsky, Zweig, Céline, Kundera, Maraï ...), poetry, philosophy. Literature learns me so much about life and about myself.
-paintings (even if I don't paint myself) : Turner, Schiele, Klimt, Redon...
-dreaming, especially when I am inspired.
-hiking or skiing in mountains, admiring beautiful landscapes.
-meeting new people.
