Overview
About Me
I love understanding the world as much I love admitting that reality is questionable.
On the serious side, a scientist (that's what I do) who would like to be a poet.
On the fun side, I try to enjoy the moment as much as possible.
PHILOSOPHY
Be brave, for the earth only endures.
CURRENT MISSION
Meet, learn, share, and enjoy the time with my human fellows.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It is a very nice way to give and receive, both when travelling and hosting. A bit like hitch-hiking. And of course, to meet people, encounter unexpected experiences !!
Interests
Mankind / Nature (foolishly assuming that both can be compartmented), languages, aerial circus (rope and silk), contact improvisation dance, history, medium/long-distance cycling/touring, electronic music, casual science, basket-ball, psychology, bodyboard, climate science, hiking, losing myself to dance, vipassana meditation, epistomology, philosophy, scuba apnea, why dreams are not reality.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1) Did a 10-day long Vipassana meditation retreat. No talking, just meditation 10 hours a day. Interesting both spiritually and socially speaking. Hope I'll do it again soon.
2) Lost my balance for a few seconds after taking a picture of friends at the edge of a 50 meter-high cliff, back to the void...interesting feeling !
What I Can Share with Hosts
Smiles, long stories, listening, cooking tips.
Ideas for books, films, music, ideas for ideas...
Setting up links between people, concepts and places, hopefully in unexpected settings.
