Hi surfers :)
My name is Sylvia but you can call me Sylver. I live just outside of Vancouver but I was born in Poland. I have spent most of my life going to school and building my career. Now that I have some free time, I want to travel and meet like-minded people. I never turn down an adventure! I'm very open-minded and can adapt to all personalities. Ask me anything, I always have a story to share!

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone should travel to learn about different types of people, cultures, and to appreciate the beauty of nature.

Everyone should be alone at some point in their life to learn about yourself and how to be independent. Once you are comfortable being alone then you can share your life with others.

Love and a positive outlook on life will overcome the darkest storms.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't travelled alone before so I don't know what to expect. I truly believe that traveling is good for the soul, and those who truly travel (not being tourists) are the kindest people you will ever meet. I have met many amazing people in my life and I look forward to meeting other surfers/hosts, who can show me around. I don't have expectations- you can be my personal tour guide and show me the secret spots in your city, or if you are busy then a safe place to spend the night is all I ask from you. I am very appreciative and I will always return the favor if our paths cross again :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time using couchsurfing, although I've slept on many couches in my life. I've heard many good things so hopefully I get to experience everything this community has to offer.

Intereses

I love anything adventurous and I'm always looking for people to join me and my dog, Rocky. I'm usually backpacking the mountains on the weekend, exploring new places (Vancouver has amazing hikes!). I will never turn down an adventure- some of my favorite activities include snowboarding, wakeboarding, surfing, dirtbiking, camping, hiking, boating, flying etc. I also love exploring different cultures, meeting locals, appreciating different arts, and stuffing my face with delicious food. I would like to go to more festivals and try new things that are unique to a certain place.

This summer I spent my 25 birthday at Burning Man in Nevada. It was such an amazing experience that I can't even explain it. You have to experience it yourself and I will go with you :)
