About Me
Hello ! I am Sylvia, I'm 22 years old and I'm about to finish my two-year stay in France (...sniff :'( )
I had another Couchsurfing account, but the e-mail account linked to it is blocked.
Even though I have never stayed chez quelqu'un (at someone's place) via Couchsurfing, I've been in the gatherings. It is lovely to see everybody wiling to meet new people from other cultures !
I am finishing my Master's degree. I have been in France for two years and I have lived in Paris (well, banlieu, Fontenay-Aux-Roses), Montpellier and Aix-en-Provence. The best way to say goodbye to Europe (sure as hell I will be back, but I'll need to be at least 6 months in Mexico to finish my studies) is to do my first solo-traveling in Italy. I am looking for locals who will show me their city, recommend me places, and crash for a night, maximum two.
I am looking forward to meet you ! If you are in Aix I would love to show you around and have a beer (or two ;) ).
See you soon !

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
I listen to lots of artists, specially to learn a language :) I guess that my all-time favorites are Blink-182, Pink-Floyd and Guns n'Roses.
Movies
Watchmen (Love the music, the actors, the story and the superheros), Birdman (The director is just CRAZY), The Prestige.
Books:
The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera
In Search of Klingsor by Jorge Volpi : A must-read if you like science and its use during Hitler's Reich... I love this book.
The Truce by Mario Benedetti : Benedetti is my favorite (well, one of my favorite) Latin-American writers. This book really touched me, specially when I found out why it is called The Truce.
The Analyst by John Katzebach: Katzenbach is a master of creating suspense stories. The book and the others are great.
Currently reading the Game of Thrones saga, book 5. House Targaryen FTW!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leaving Mexico for two years so I could get a Master's degree in France. This has been a hell of an adventure. I arrived completely alone, speaking franglish, and a bit nervous/anxious because it was the first time I lived completely on my own.
This is certainly the most amazing thing I have done, and all the friends I've made, travels, experiences are the best that have ever happened to me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I LOVE to cook : If you let me, it would be my pleasure to prepare something and it would be even more amazing if you teach me any recipe from your home country !
I am really looking forward to learn, teach and keep practicing languages. I think it is wonderful to be able to express in different ways and how much we can learn from each other.
I am learning to knit :B
I can teach physics if you like, but I prefer talking about food, hahaha.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to exchange about Mexico, the place I have been to, my experiences living and working abroad :)
And... FOOD !!!
