CURRENT MISSION

I want to finish my studies in food chemistry here in Halle and my dream is to find out more about the world e.g. to visit new countries and to meet people.
I want to find more and more good artists (music, art)!
My plan is also to learn Icelandic and Norwegian in the next few years.

ABOUT ME

Hello everyone! Welcome to my profile. My name is Sylvia and I am 27 years old, from Germany. I have always been interested to meet new people all over the world and cultural exchange. That´s why I started using CS in 2015. I have been quite active in 2015 and then had some breaks in between due to different living circumstances. After my studies i continued my life in Norway with a masters degree where I partly stayed in Svalbard. Then I started working. Recently I moved to Nuuk to start working here. Soon I will have an apartment on my own (March 2023) and I will have the possibility to have guests here. It would be exciting to meet you here in Nuuk to host or just for a walk through town or a drink. See you!

I love traveling, I'm spontanteous and my hobbies include drawing and to be on the move. In my free time I meet my friends and also read a lot of books (but this should be normal, especially for students ;) )
When I don't go out and only want to relax in the late evenings I watch movies or draw.

I am also very interested in the arctic lifestyle and Iceland. I like Svalbard and Iceland so much and after my studies I want to spend some years there ( maybe I can do my phD there ;)) I love the contrast between dark mountains and the white snow. I find the soft colors of the sky in northern regions in winter so awesome!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am sorry that I can't leave my status as "accepting guests" because mostly I have a lot to do and I can't make sure that I have time for you. So send me a request with a direct time included and I will say you if it's possible or not.
But what I can make sure is that i don't have time on the weekends!

When you are here as guest and when I have time I show you nice places in Halle. We can also go on partying, having a drink, cooking etc. .. that depends on what do you would like to do. :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In summer 2012 I was snorkeling in Calabria (Italy) in the Mediterranean Sea. It was so amazing to dive in the deep sea between large rocks on which you can see the natural life of the sea, especially beatiful kinds of fishes and corals. To be more far away from the coast and with the rising depth of the sea with its clear blue colour gave me the feeling of being light without worries, free and to be in heaven. It was so beautiful when the sun shone so bright and you saw the reflections on the seafloor.
Diving always had been a dream for me and so this was unforgettable for me and I mention it here.

But in April 2014, one day before my a-level exam in chemistry, I had a little chance to touch the sky with a hot air balloon. It was such a beautiful evening and the weather was perfect so that you had the chance to have a wide view around. Maybe I will put some photos here and then you will have an imagination.
