About Me

ABOUT ME

They would say I have a good sense of humor and that I am very trustworthy and quiet.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is a sum of all my experiences and the social justice material I consume that have helped shape me into the liberal, progressive-minded, transnational feminist I am today. I am not religious and I think people should take responsibility for your own thoughts and actions no matter what their beliefs are. I crave diversity, progress, and new experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

As far as T.V. goes I love Stephen Colbert and Rachel Maddow. Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom is my favorite book. Angela Davis's book Freedom Is a Constant Struggle is like a bible. My favorite journalists are Jeff Chang and Ta Nehisi Coates . As far as music goes, it depends on my mood but a Prince CD has been in my car since I first got my drivers license. My favorite movie is The Sound of Music and I even went on the The Sound of Music tour in Salzburg, Austria where it was filmed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have ever done was travel around Western Europe for 4.5 months. I ran in the Athens, Greece marathon in November 2009 and 'recovered' in Santorini. It is sooo incredibly beautiful there.

Teach, Learn, Share

Megabus has routes from LA to San Francisco, Vegas, Oakland, and San Jose. If you schedule your trips just right you can travel for a buck.

There's an LAX flyaway shuttle service that takes you from Union Station in Downtown, L.A., Westwood, or West Hollywood directly to LAX for only 9 bucks! That’s amazing! Check it out at lawa.org if you’re interested.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Belize, Cambodia, Canada, Cayman Islands, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
