CURRENT MISSION

I'm a city (Sydney) girl who has been adventuring around the Americas since June 2014. After working (in an office....) in consumer public relations for almost four years, I realised it's not for me. I want to do something to help people, something that makes a difference, something that has meaning, that I'm passionate about, and most importantly, I want to live in nature!!

ABOUT ME

I'm the kind of traveller that likes to go off the beaten track; I'm not really into the touristy stuff. I've been known to visit places for a couple of days and stay for a few months. I avoid having travel plans and like to go wherever the wind takes me.

I love exploring the outdoors, speaking with locals and seeing how they really live, and I always welcome the opportunity to do something I've never done before.

I'd rather wake up early to see the sunrise than sleep in. My life is an adventure and I refuse to live in any other way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I see Couchsurfing as a tool to meet like-minded people, learn about other cultures and find new adventure friends. I've met so many amazing people who have led me to some of the most incredible experiences of my life. It really isn't about saving money, it's about the experience and the people. I find it really addictive.

Interests

Travelling is my life. The idea of being trapped in one place forever gives me anxiety. I'm a very high-energy, active person. I love hiking, camping, climbing and all things nature. Any opportunity for an unplanned adventure, I'm all over it! I like to walk for hours around new places (cities, jungles, forests, beaches, mountains - you name it) and just lose myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A five-day backpacking trip around Yosemite National Park kind of changed my life. It made me realise that nature is where I want to be. I climbed up Half Dome in Yosemite barefoot - it was a pretty damn exhilarating experience.

I can speak English and Spanish fluently, teach you about all things Australia, cook delicious food (well, try to..!), and drag you out dancing even if you don't want to!
