About Me
Hi!
I’m from a town called Ghent about 2 hours away from New York City. At the moment I'm going to college in New York City which is very different to what I grew up with but I really love it. I'm an avid reader, I love crafts, and just hanging out. I also love games and I'm always looking for new ones to learn. I could spend weeks outside and I really enjoy hiking, swimming, gardening, biking, and just walking around. I love movies and films and I could talk about them for hours :)
In cities, I love going to museums and thrift stores and walking around a lot, and getting coffee.
I’m doing couch surfing because I love meeting new people and getting to hear other people’s life stories and experiences. I’m pretty much up for anything :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm traveling around Europe for several weeks this summer with my friend Lucy and we're looking for places t stay but we're also very excited to meet new people in the cities we're visiting who could show us around and/or give us recommendations on places to go. We're both very easy guests and we're pretty much just excited to get to travel, explore, and learn new things (on a budget!).

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favorite Music artists are: Bob Dylan, Donovan, The Beatles, Paul Simon, The Velvet Underground, The Smiths, The Cure, REM, and Cat
I have very varied taste in movies and so it's impossible to choose a favorite. I've grown up watching old Hollywood movies from the 1930s-1960s, so I will always really love those. But I also really enjoy watching most movies, and I especially love Taika Watiti as a director, and Wes Anderson.
For shows I love: breaking bad, better call Saul,
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
2 week backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn more German or Spanish, and I am completely fluent in English if that is helpful. I can also play cello proficiently and could teach that if one had an instrument.
I also really love to learn the histories of the places that I am staying at.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A love and knowledge of games, knitting, crocheting, sewing, crafting, music, and books. I also enjoy baking and have a lot of experience with childcare if any of that was needed. I am fully fluent in English and I can speak a little German and a little Spanish.
