Sobre mí

I was a teacher during 25 years.
Now, I'm retired and I'm looking after old persons, some hours by week.
I love doing sport (skiing, aquabiking...), reading novels, watching films, listening music, dancing, drinking a good glass of wine or beer, too!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I enjoy receiving friends at home, around the B.B.Q and swimming-pool!
I've got space to receive couchsurfers and time to give them advices to visit nice places.
I want to travel around the world and meet people of everywhere.

Intereses

I live by the country side, near Agen, with my husband. Agen is a little town between Bordeaux and Toulouse.
We enjoy doing sport ( walking, bike, jujitsu, skiing...)
We also like reading, cinema, having a drink in a pub, eating in restaurants...

Música, películas y libros

I love pop, rock and electro music...and also The new french scene. In fact, I'm very open to discover all kinds of music. I listen to "Radio Nova" when I'm at home or driving my car.
I like very much to go to the cinema and see films, which make me think about human condition, political and social problems in the world. I also love "James Bond" and action (good) films, but it's rare to find one!
I like to read historical novels and all kinds of novels, too.
I principally read french writers, but also Douglas Kennedy, Ken Follet and so on...

Algo increíble que he hecho

My first "interesting" travel was in Greece, in 1981. My boyfriend and I travelled by hitchhiking.
One day, two workers took us in their pickup and brought us to Patras.
They spoke only Greek but we understook they gave us date at 8 in the evening.
We were at 8, at the meeting place and them, too.
We started driving in the mountain. In each village, several young men got in the pickup. I was the only woman and not very proud, because I didn't know what was going to happen, where we were going to...
We finally arrived in a little village, far away from everywherewhere. A party was done, in front of the Church. There was a giant "mechoui" and a local group with a female singer, very "picturesque". Our guests payed the whole food and all the drinks for us. We went back in Patras about 7. We had some regrets to have rent a room at the hotel, but no regrets about this unforgettable night!
Some hours later, we met the two workers again and we knew it was the last time...

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I know rather well my region and I want my guests to discover it. The country side, the historical places ( castles, churchs, mills, museums...), and also the places for leisure.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I trust in the people.
I think it's possible to get a better life if we share knowledges, experiences, our house and our meals...
