Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to the idea of Couchsurfing a few years ago, but never created a profile until now. ..
I am travelling through Australia at the moment and will need a place to stay in a few weeks. What I am hoping to find is a someone that has an extra room that they would like to rent for a few weeks. I would feel more comfortable paying for it!
It could also be someone who is going away on vacation and would like to sublet their place for a little while to help with the rent
