Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Sylwia and I live in Southampton, England. I am originally from Poland but I also grew up in Germany. I am working full time but in my spare time I like travelling across Europe. I like meeting new people and I normally travel on my own. I prefer the active way of living and I do a lot of sports like running, tennis and sailing. I also like walking and hiking. My special interest is arts and I love visiting galleries and museums. I also collect postcards from all over the world and wherever I go I send myself a postcard. I am open-minded and easy-going, I like interesting conversations but I can also shut up if needed ;) I am very clean and I respect others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Most of my trips are carefully planned but very often I do things spontaneously. I like meeting new people and discover local culture and food. I is not a big deal to book a hotel but staying there alone is not much fun either. Being with people who can give you advice and company or can share experiences is for me one of the most important things in life.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you German or English but I also have other skills like knitting, crochet and sewing. I like sport a lot and I can introduce you to tennis or sailing. I am a regular runner and always have my running outfit with me so you can join me in running and I can tell you a lot about how to start.
I can also share experience on how to live in England, how to find a job or rent a room in UK.
I am vegetarian and love cooking - fancy a decent veggie meal? No problem! I cook for you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Whoever will host me can expect the same from my side :)
I can offer my room with double bed in the centre of Southampton. Provided I will have a day off work I can show you around or even take you somewhere by car. I can also offer airport transfer.
Staying in Southampton means that you are close to many interesting places like: Winchester (the former capital of England), Portsmouth (with the historic docks), Isle of Whight, Beaulieu (National Motor Museum), Salisbury (Cathedral) and Stonehenge.
You can also expect a nice vegetarian breakfast in the morning and good company :)
