About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To HYGGE me as much as possible. (The very special danish version of having a good time!)
ABOUT ME
I am a true artist (read: slightly confused and chaotic). However, I'm doing my best to keep my artistry under control. Except for that I'm a freelancing cellist, jumping from one orchestra to another, having a month of involuntary vacation followed by a month of working like a maniac - good fun!
Describing my own personality would, as I see it, be futile. It all comes down to who's interpreting anyway! I have the most AMAZING sense of humour, that is, if you like it, and I am open and warm and tolerant and nice and sweet, thus possibly bearing a certain resemblance to the 2½ million other wonderful couchsurfers. But I am surely pretty much more turquoise from time to time. And sometimes I use sarcasm.
I enjoy coffee, movies, music, music, music, history, sightseeing, food, meeting strangers, meeting friends, meeting people, walking in sunny weather, golden wallpaper - you know, quite ordinary enjoy-stuff.
I do not enjoy paying dentist bills. (Sorry, dentists.)
Non-smoker with dog allergy.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't worry - be happy! EXCEPT if you have something to worry about, then go ahead and worry. Personally I enjoy a good worry, but then again, I'm rather forgetful, so I tend to forget what I am worrying about, and am therefore forced to be happy most of the time. Oh cruel fate.
Interests
- Music - world music, folk music, jazz, classical, a bit of this and that!
- History - historical novels, movies and especially old buildings and artefacts of different kinds really sets off my imagination and stirs something in me. I can stare at a shoe for an hour, wondering who wore it...
- Language and culture - although I don't speak so many languages, I love to discover the differences and similarities between languages and dialects.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: F.ex. Amélie, La Vita é bella, LOTR (sorry. Such a cliché.) La Môme, Pans Labyrinth, Elisabeth a.o.
Have a soft spot for childrens movies and litterature. This goes only for materials of a certain quality, though!
I have been reading a good deal during my childhood, but it's becoming increasingly harder for me to get it done, the more I am playing my cello. Feels like I am using braincells from the same... brain-box... for those two activities, and when I get to the reading part after playing all day, I'm out of braincells. Anyway, I LIKE books a lot, and I collect them eagerly.
Music: Yeah, I kinda like that too. I also have a hobby in mixing and matching music and food. Did you know that potato pizza goes really well with Vivaldi's cello concertos? And for the more advanced, I can recommend asparagus soup with finnish banjo music.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll be more than happy to show you some useful tricks for cello playing :-D You never know when you'll need it.
I'm convinced that you'll always learn from every new person you meet. Well. More or less. There's no escape!
