About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The First time South East Asia for me , looking so much forward to taste great food and meet awesome people through Couchsurfing...prove that Couchsurfers are very warm hearted people :D

ABOUT ME

I don't actually like those fillout forms about oneself but in this case I guess it's quite important since nobody wants to meet, host or be hosted by a total unknown somebodyI'm an openminded and interested (in many topics)person, I really like to have interesting conversation just about anything. I'd also describe myself as someone to really have fun with, I like to party and my friends might say I know how to ;-)I'm studying Sports in Germany and am interested in almost any Sport : name it I'll probably like it!I'm a huge movie fan and thats a topic I can talk about for hours, which should not be interpreted as threat!:pI think I have a good sense of humor and definietly like to listen to people telling jokes (although I have a really good memory, I keep on forgetting the best jokes).I would say that I'm a really friendly person who knows how to put smiles on peoples faces since I like to make compliments(it cost so little and gives so much)meant really honest! My character traits: honest, friendly, helpful, loyal, funny but also with a quick switch to serious when appropriate...

PHILOSOPHY

Treat everyone with respect, to deserve respect yourself!Be friendly and most people will treat you the same!Be honest cause in the end it's (almost) always the best!Help people if they need help and don't just look away!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I went to several meetings in Melbourne and Brisbane when I traveled to Australia in 2010. I loved exploring the cities with other couchsurfers and share knowledge about certain things when it comes to traveling etc. I'm also an active host and like to meet other persons and help them. In the future I plan on traveling around the world and can't imagine doing it without using CS and though missing tons of nice conversations.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing first came to my attention when a friend told me about it. I liked the ideology behind it right away. During my travels of 2010 in New Zealand and Australia I had my first experiences although I didn't surf any couches I used CS as an opportunity to meet openminded persons. It turned out to be really cool. My first encounter with a Couchsurfer was in Auckland, NZ. Before I travelled with friends, but in Auckland i was all by myself and though asked a chinese girl via CS if we could meet for a drink. We met for a dinner and got along really good that she was so nice to offer to me to show around the city the next day. A great first experience! In Australia I went to several CS Meetings and met so many nice people. The Melbournecommunity turned out to be absolutely awesome and it encouraged me to keep on using CS to meet people of similar interests. Being at a party and not knowing anybody is usually quite umcomfortable...with CS it absolutely isn't ;-)I first hosted being back in Germany again and it also were great people I met. CS is such an awesome community!

Interests

Sports: playing all kind of ball games, loving Martial Arts (and no I'm not a violent person but I like to know how defend myself and others), fitness training, hiking, swimming etc. ... name it...I'll probably like it, or at least I'll try it :)I like to have nice chats (face to face) and learn about different cultures and though get to know different viewpoints on life. Meeting new interesting peopleI also like to party and am always open to suggestions considering having a nice timeWatching Movies preferably in the original language, but If I don't know it I depend on the English subtitles :) this way I have seen plenty of Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Thai movies most people in germany never heard of.Cooking and eating hot...although I'm eating pretty hot for a german, I surely will seem like a wimp for quite a lot of folks:DLearning new stuff, I know that tomorrow I can be a lot smarter than today and I'll take any chance to...Teaching, if wanted, with all the expertise I might have in certain areasTravel...and expanding my knowledge about people and culturesvisited 20 states (8.88%)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of movies too many to list I suppose just to name a few among my most favorable ones: Into the Wild, LA Confidential, The Last King of Scotland, Coming to America, Ip man, Evil...

I like all kinds of music but SKA probably the most :) beside Oldies from the 60s and 70s AND YES I'm born in the 80s :P

I usually only read books that I somehow believe will make me smarter ;-) So...no stories. Just specialised books (mostly on Sports and the human body)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While being in Cologne for Carnival and being totally drunk but having the need to eat a Döner...On the way home in the tramp I stopped eating because I saw a sign that told me it was forbidden, and I stick to rules. I was holding the Döner in front of me and it was right at the height of a girls face...we started talking and found out that we'll be in Australia around the same time (two months later), she added me on facebook and finally we ended up travelling together from Melbourne to Brisbane in her van...which was a great experience and It cleary shows what influence in life a short moment can make...and I can say that a "Döner" kinda was the reason for me not having to travel alone and meeting a great companion...such a good memory.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe I might have aquired some skills that can surely be of help, i like to share those, if wanted. And surely I can still learn so much...languages, understanding cultures and through Couchsurfing I met intersting people and believe there is an infinite amount of them still out there :-)
