ABOUT ME

I genuinely enjoy the fact that I could walk up to any stranger on the street, in any town or city, and find some common ground, teach each other something, and incite each other to explore a new area in life, however brief it may be.

PHILOSOPHY

to be free of preconceived parameters and the desire to see tomorrow at all points...leaves dancing, twirling up up and up twirling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't have my own place to host lovely couchsurfers such as yourself, but I will be moving to a more free venue next month! So that will change :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with a family on the west coast of Canada for a few months, helped out on the organic farm and also worked on an environmental conservation project with salmon.

I spent last winter living with a grandmother in Namibia while working for the Department of Health on HIV/AIDs projects.

I went to summer school in Montreal, Canada last summer and lived with a family with two kids rather than stay in the dorm.

Interests

I'm a pretty curious person, yes... and appreciate those who are also curious. Like traveling, like food (especially Middle Eastern & East Indian spicey-nesses), like experiencing other cultures. Best is relaxing with a few friends, teasing each other and watching bad foreign films, and drinking tasty wine :) Perhaps a dancey good time every now and then! Some other things I like include: polite people, eating cheese, painting pictures, and river valley walks

I have been taking various styles of middle eastern & tribal fusion dance for the past 3 years and love checking out new dance venues.

All sorts of cultural studies fascinate me, whether its visiting museums or heritage festivals, checking out a monastery, or learning how to cook a certain ethnic meal
