About Me
Hi!
My name is Synnøve (good luck pronouncing that)... I'm outgoing, curious and trustful, and people also say that I might be a little crazy! ;) Obviously I love travelling, and the best part of that is, of course, meeting new people. I've done some backpacking, but for now I'm settled in beautiful Trondheim! I really want travelers to have awesome experiences in my country, so watcha say? ;) Come and stay at my couch!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was 19, I did my first solo traveling, going from town to town in beautiful Italy. I was craving to get a real feel of the country: to know the culture, the language and most important of all: the people. To be able to do this, I tried out some Couchsurfing, and I had some really great experiences! Late nights with red wine, pasta and amazing new friends made my trip the best. Later I also did some couchsurfing in Latin America, and after that I've had some random stays, and also decided to open up my home for other travelers. I love getting the traveling vibe although I'm not traveling myself at the moment!
Interests
Obviously I love traveling, exploring, working on my language skills and of course; to get in touch with people. I'm studying political science now, and also I volunteer both for amnesty and for the local student community. I appreciate the small, sweet things in life, as enjoying fresh brewed coffee in the morning, reading a good book or just spending time with family and friends. I grew up in a little town surrounded by mountains and fjords, so the nature is also something that I love. I can add that I'm a real foodie, and I'm always excited about exploring new flavors and dishes! So if you got an exciting recipe - try me out!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Hiking Kilimanjaro!
- Visiting Salar de Uyuni (salt flats) in Bolivia
- Hiking Machu Picchu - in flip flops...
- Taking salsa lessions in Cuba
- Doing trekking in Cañon de Colca
- Chilling at the San Blas islands in Panama
- Going from Souch Africa to Mosambique with bus
- Traveling Italy for two months, eating gelato every single day!
- Watching the northern lights - in Norway, of course ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you some norwegian (very usefull, haha), or maybe spanish is better? I can teach you something about norwegian culture, skiing (during winter) and of course: how to be a real viking ;) I know some salsa, but unless I got a bottle of wine, I'm pretty useless... so if you got some dancing skills, I'd love to learn more of it! I'm also up to learn italian, german or even swahili (cooles language ever!). And as I already mentioned, I loove to try out new dishes!! I'll eat whatever you cook ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Whatever I got going on in the moment, I'm up for sharing it. That could be everything from food and traditions, to friends and experiences. I can show you around, let you be a part of whatever I'm up to and and give you some guidance when I can. After all I'm a student, so I might not be able to take you to the most expensive restaurants or nightclubs - but the best thing is always sharing a good moment - right? :)
