Overview
About Me
I'm a second-year student at UWC Maastricht in the Netherlands. Coming from the tropical of Malaysia, I've lived in a multicultural environment my entire life and loves surrounding myself with different cultures.
I love exploring, experiencing new things and finding adventures in the simplest of things. I would say that there are days where I'll find myself lying on grass underneath a tree and days where I'll find myself hiking almost 25 km to look at the Sand Dunes in Leba, Poland. With that being said, I would like to pursue filmmaking and writing in the future, and is still paving my own journey in it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If there's anything I love in this world, it's definitely stories. I believe couchsurfing is an amazing way to meet people all over the world, have meaningful conversations with them, spend time with different people and to know stories about different people all around the world. I also feel that you get to know the area on a much greater level as you get to see how people live, and how their lives are; you get to experience where you're travelling like a local.
Interests
In my free time, I love writing (screenplays, short stories, journaling, etc), taking photographs, making videos, playing board games, watching films, reading, making music/playing an instrument, going for walks, playing sports (volleyball, football, netball), food-hunting, and getting to know people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I participated in the 24 Hour Race in 2015 as a runner. It's a fundraising movement against human trafficking. In teams of 8, you take turns to run for 24 hours to raise funds. My team raised the second most funds in the whole of Malaysia. While it was an extremely tiring, it is definitely one of the highlights of my life so far.
I also co-started a film festival in Maastricht, as part of a project for UWC. It's called the United World Film Festival and it is a project to connect communities of Maastricht through filmmaking and storytelling.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Asian cuisine, a thirst for adventure and genuine heart to heart conversations. I'm always up for trying out new things.
