About Me

CURRENT MISSION

self-education,

ABOUT ME

I am interested in people and new places. People are always new to me, even ones I have known for years. You can never know someone completely. Not in a bad way, in fact, you can know the basics about people and be able to trust them over a short time. But you can travel the world with someone and be next to an entirely new world as well... Personally I have been traveling too long, but I am trying to finish my degree with as much brevity as possible, affordability as well, but these things do not often go together:) I miss my family and friends (family in the States and friends in falesTiin); hope to return to visit and live. What else? meet me. I am happy to just meet up for a good conversation. I am in geneva now and just arrived, so I only know a few people.

PHILOSOPHY

avoiding disaster seems to get me through some rough spots. But the more I think about it, it's more of a philosophy of hindsight... :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't had a chance to host anyone since I've joined CS. Been living in shared flats with strange roommates for awhile... Currently in geneva, I am looking for a place. When I find one (with a decent cs-friendly roommate/s) everyone is welcome! In the meantime, I can tell you a few good stories in exchange for a few good stories of your own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not much, have to rectify this

Interests

reading, people, reading people, history, languages, realism, idealism, romance, tragedy, bad endings, good endings. I really want to learn how to program, become a polyglot, I love cooking, in fact i bring my own pans with me traveling since I cannot depend on (or afford) buying them every time I settle somewhere.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am alive. With a couple good stories which wouldn't have been good predictors of this outcome.

Teach, Learn, Share

before you go hiking in monstrous mountains in a foreign country in spring (with little warm clothing), after there has been a freakishly late onset of winter, check with locals to see which paths are still accessible or if it is better to forget hiking altogether. this will surely enable you live by my philosophy of avoiding most assured, near-death disaster, trust me :)... also, wash your feet regularly when you travel... another one to live by
