About Me

I like to think I'm a natural born traveller. Can't sit still for very long, and am always very keen to explore places and meet people. I am fascinated by the amazing diversity of languages and cultures around the globe, which led me to study linguistics and endangered languages. As much as I enjoy nature, I am a city person at heart, and I love riding my bike around town and hanging out in parks and cafés.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It all started when I went to Argentina, and without knowing anyone. I was hosted by some amazing people, and then I got to host too. I think CS is an amazing way to meet people and to travel. Now I moved to Spain, and again barely knowing anyone, so here I am.

Music, Movies, and Books

No such thing as favourites here...literaturewise, I am invariably fascinated by the beat generation, Roald Dahl, Cortazar, Gombrowicz and Gudiño Kieffer. Recent favs are short stories by Junto Díaz and 'Things fall apart' by Chinua Achebe.
I am also into non-fiction, especially anything that has to do with Latin America.

As for music, the Doors and Queen are always there. I like many different jazzy and bluesy stuff, too, and recently have been into TV on the Radio.

With movies, no point of even starting. But generally drama and documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quite a few of them, only maybe they didn't feel amazing at the time, but have become amazing memories. One I can think of would be moving to another continent without knowing anyone and barely speaking the language.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hard to say off the top of my head - I guess it depends who the teacher/learner is, and what we're both interested in.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Germany, Guatemala, India, Italy, Liechtenstein, Mexico, Nepal, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
