About Me

Travel, slow food and slow life, minimalism, languages (I love to aquire languages - now I plan on Arabic), music (some piano, used to jam on drums a lot) and lots and lots of motorcycles (including drawing them.:) In a nutshell..

Professionaly I'm an investor. I left my job as a web developer to pursuit financial freedom that allows me to devote myslef to things that matter - good and healthy lifestyle, good food, self-development, friends, creation, music, helping others and most off all traveling and experiencing the world from the saddle of my motorcycle. No more space for bullshit and no more time to waste on things that do not matter.:)

I love to travel, it seems like this, out of all things, makes the most sense to me and gives me a sense of belonging. I prefer to be away from civilazation, close to nature, local people and local points of interest. Maybe it’s not super common, but I like abandoned places, factories (especially industrial complexes of all kinds), ruins anything forgotten. I love the energy of ‚what might have had been here years ago’ - my dream is to visit Kazachstan (and their nuclear wastelands) and few other places around the world. I love to observe how nature takes over such places, slow and steady..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to share the world - my world and the world of my guests. Nothing broads your horizon more then a contact with others, escepcially when they are from far away. And I want to keep believing in the world outside of what mass media is letting us believe - I don't trust them one bit, i don't believe in terrorists, aids, deadly viruses and other crap.:) Typical alterglobalists, I hate mcdonaldisation of life. I believe every poblems comes form the lack of connection, be it with other people, with the nature, with ourselves.

Interests

Experience - my first and most important hobby in life. I want to see, taste, hear, touch, smell and feel. Good or bad. Therefore I do a lot, I travel as often as I can, I learn new things (lately I became a basic life support rescuer). I love languages, I want to be able to communicate with locals during my journeys, I’m devouring French right now. I love motorcyles, adventure riding, off-road riding, motorcylcle mechanics. I love good food and good wine. I love video games (in winter when I’m hibernating and awaiting new motorcycle season:).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I was raised on rock, so you name it, OST from Blade Runner, 80s music including retro stuff like Perturbator, jazz like Brandford Marsalis, good pop productions like Lana del Rey, good singers like Jessie J, Hooverphonic, enthnic music (Morocco). I reach out to any genre that has soemthing that touches me (lately it’s Dolly Parton:).
Books: Long and complicated - for instance "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. I also love books from a period of 50's - 70's in States - “Fear and Lothing” by Hunter Thompson, "On the road" by Kerouack, Ginsberg, Bukowski etc. I love ‘local’ literature - when I travel I always try to look at the place from the cultural perspective. I just finished book about how “Holy Mother on the Moon” - a book about tiny village and their life in the 50s in Romania...since I just visited Romania.:)

Teach, Learn, Share

I know good wine, a lot about alternative medicine and natural food. I know great deal about motorcylces. Webdevelopment skills (although I’m kind of getting away from it, making room for new things like spirituality, energies, UFO, conspiracy theories and such).. But what I like to share the most is just my point of view of the world...:)
