Overview
About Me
At daytime I work as a computer systems engineer for a governmental organization. After work I'm busy with various projects that I start for my own entertainment. I often go to party on weekends. Am a big fan of environmental responsibility, self-sustaining economy, small communities, local authority, and generally personal freedom.
I have a vision of a world where everybody can live freely and fearlessly, and where we are for each other, not against. Where understanding takes the place of violence and empathy replaces fights. Where technology is used to protect Mother Earth, not to destroy it.
In 2012 I was lucky enough to get in contact with electronic music and culture, and it moved me very deeply. Since then music is my tool to get people in touch with the above ideas. I believe that this culture will play a key role in the advent of a world that will once bring peace to everybody.
It may seem like I'm an esoteric freak, but actually I'm very skeptic about anything related to that. I believe what I see working in practice. Listening to others is important, but I'm always cautious with what I hear.
PHILOSOPHY
Freedom, kindness, and common sense.
Anything that happens to you, good, or bad, has a purpose. It may turn out only later what that is.
Make love not war.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I both host and surf primarily to get authentic information about different parts of the world than the one I'm living in. I'm always news hungry, but information I can get from the media is sometimes inaccurate or even manipulated.
When hosting, I can get a more clear view of what's happening in the world (and I have the chance to ask if something is unclear or I need more explanation).
When I surf, my primary motivation is to experience what's not written in tourist guidebooks, because I think that the essence of a place is what's under the surface of tourist attractions.

Music, Movies, and Books
Electronic music: psytrance, psydub, psychill. I like movies that try to tell you something to think about, raise a question, or present alternatives like utopias and distopias. This mostly boils down to sci-fi. Comedy and romance are not for me. When I read it's mostly news.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydived one time. Nowadays I'm digging deep into the alternative underground of Budapest.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're interested, I can teach you things related to the Internet: how it works, what happens when you type a web address, how your e-mail gets delivered, etc.
