Overview
About Me
I'm a European citizen, born and raised in Hungary, in the past few years living and working in Brussels, Belgium. In the past decade I worked as a trainer, facilitator, programme manager and consultant with organisations, institutions and companies, mainly on topics of personal development, leadership, empowerment, team work, intercultural communication and inclusion. Thanks to my job, in the past years I've been traveling Europe and beyond several times a month. I am passionate about education and hope to create my own educational institution in the future, encompassing all my ideas and principles about what education should be in the 21st century.
We're currently embarking on a lifetime experience with my partner: a round-the-world tour for 333 days... or more. We're both around age 30 and it seemed like the perfect moment to take a long pause, gather a lot of impulses and experiences before settling down.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
During our world tour we would like to experience the different corners of the world as much as possible with the local eye, not the tourist one. We don't want to follow the recommendations of guide books, we'd like to go where the locals go, eat what locals eat, do what locals do.
We're interested in meeting locals, enjoying a good drink or meal, cooking together, etc. And of course, a couch, when you have one to offer.
MY COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been involved in many international youth organisations in the past and most of the time I was doing couchsurfing through these organisations. I've hosted a large number of students (some for a whole year) with my family and I've also had many wonderful hosts while traveling in Europe.
What I always loved about surfing couches (even if it was not through this website) is the way you can get a peek into the lives of people in such a short time, and get to live the real local experience. It's just fascinating!
Interests
- I impatiently wait all year long to finally arrive to mushroom season when I can enjoy mushroom picking and trying different dishes using the ingredients we found.
- If I'd start over, I would probably try my luck at Broadway: I'm absolutely fascinated by the musical world and you can always ask me for recommendations on what to watch or listen to.
- I'm a storyteller and I love listening to the stories of others.
- Creativity is fundamental to me in all it's forms - be it in the kitchen, in fashion, or in my work.
- I'm totally into youth empowerment: I founded an NGO in Hungary to support young people more conscious choices about their future through mentoring and personal development workshops.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: I love reading upon recommendation - please do tell me, what was the book that spoke to you the most recently?
Music: Never cant get enough of Patrice, Nickel Creek, or Glen Hansard or Sara Barailles.
Movies: My new favorite is Eddy the Eagle. Just has everything you need: an uplifting true story that will urge you to never give up your dreams.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Doing a solo experience in nature, spending 17 hours in a forest alone, night included, without a tent, or food. Extraordinary experience without a doubt!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to know more about educational systems across the world and what ways people learn best.
