Overview
About Me
Laid back, semi-nomadic artist, rock climber and adventure seeker. I've traveled much of the west in my van and love experiencing new places through the eyes of people who love them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The people I meet and learn from tend to be what sticks with me, as opposed to landmarks I saw or photographs I took. Couchsurfing is a great way to bypass the challenge of finding like-minded people and start making new friends :)
Interests
Rock climbing, backpacking, hiking, canyoneering, slack-lining, hot springs, coffee, sketching, getting lost, arguing about politics, not arguing about politics, surfing, caving, trying strange foods, cooking, baking, dancing, crafting, woodworking, sailing, snorkeling, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly scifi, but enjoy both fiction and non-fiction with social, political, or philosophical themes. That or comic books...Bluegrass music in my soul, but I've got Beyonce, The Black Keys, Springsteen, Rodrigo y Gabriel, Fat Freddy's Drop and La Bouche on my iopd. Love good animation, noir, and Deep Blue Sea.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived out of my van off and on, rock climbing and traveling since college. I've traveled much of the US living on the road and love the freedom and mobility van-dwelling affords.
Also: struggled to learn Spanish on the fly in Ecuador, spent a week failing at surfing in the Galapagos, swam with sharks, nearly been hit by lightning atop a spire in Eldorado Canyon and walked into the Maze in Canyonlands NP.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an adaptable adventure buddy and accomplice when I'm not working on a freelance commission! I can also teach you to make the best chocolate mousse in 15 minutes, rope skills, how to repair outdoor gear and progress past the stick-figure level of drawing ;-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love sharing good, home cooked food with friends. I'm interested in people and what makes them different and am always down for those late night conversations about travel and ideas.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Ecuador, France
