My name is Szymon Tomaszewski and I am 20 years old. I was born in Slupsk. When I turned 16 I decided to move out. I wanted to become a seafarer. I studied in a boarding school. From this moment I live in Gdansk. I graduated Maritime School in Gdansk( Maritime Navigation profile). Now I'm studying Naval Architecture and Maritime Technology in Gdansk at University of Technology. This is my first year.
You can ask me why. I always say that we cannot close our perspectives. I like challenges and that is why I study something new for me. I really like ships, vessel, harbors and everything what is connected with sea. I am a person who has many hobbies. One of my passions are sailing, sport and travelling. I like meeting new people, cultures and visit the world. This is why I usually travel by hitch-hicking. During my last trip I visited seven countries, a lot of cities, for example: Paris, Gent and Amsterdam. That was the most amazing three weeks in my life. I had many adventures and story to tell.
I love sailing. I very like spend time on the water. I was sailing on big sailing vessel for example like “Dar Mlodziezy”, on yachts and motorboat. I am skipper of yacht. Last summer I spend all time with my friend on sailing, wakeboarding and kitesurfing on our boat. Spending time on water is great for me! My next passion is dancing. I am dance Breakdance for 8 years. During these 8 years I took part in many events, performances and competitions in Poland and abroad. I perform individually or as a member of the group. In the last summer we often danced on the street. We were doing great shows. I am also taking class with Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu, but this is the beginning now. I like jogging, swimming and riding a bicycle too. Sport is very important in my life.
To sum up, I am a person who wants to do a hundred things in one minute. Everyday I am trying to experience the world.
