About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Having some adventures while taking some time off work before the upcoming summer season.

ABOUT ME

Wellie well..my name is Andrew. I'm a 37 year old from Michigan originally, but currently living in Washington. I'm an outdoorsy type of person, and I love just about any sport that gets me outside and gives me a bit of exercise, from frisbee to football. I hope to get myself into the position of being able to travel the world to all the places I want to go within a couple years. One of my goals is to learn Spanish, as I definitely want to visit many South American countries.

PHILOSOPHY

Try not to take life too seriously. I want to go new places and meet new people in an attempt to learn more about the world and maybe even a bit more about myself :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now just as a surfer, but I'll definitely host some day to pass along the help that I've received from others :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only good things with good people so far. CS & some kind folks in Berkeley have provided me with a kickass introduction to the city, had a great night mucking around on a cheesesteak filled night with a fun CS crew in Philly, & got to experience a real deal version of what Vegas can offer from a CSer who I consider a friend & hang out with to this day :)

Interests

Things I enjoy:
hiking
seeing good local bands live
traveling
the outdoors and general naturey goodness
beer pong
making mix cds for friends
climbing trees
playing & watching most sports
drunken shenanigans
poker
any music cept country (sorry country..um..it's not you, it's me)
playing guitar (though i'm not very good)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hosteling in Ensenada, Mexico..Fish taco feasting, a lame yet very fun attempt at surfing with new German friend, and drinking a Pacifico while watching the sun melt away into the Pacific for the first time.

Teach, Learn, Share

When a Bufo canorus (or Yosemite toad) tadpole goes through metamorphosis & becomes able to hop hop hop around on land, it actually shrinks down considerably. They get to be less than half the size they were previously as a tadpole, getting down to around 10mm. Cool huh?!?

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Mexico
